School, St. George, and Sand Hollow

I suggested to Kelsey yesterday that we move to St. George, UT. She didn’t say no. The hot climate, year round pool weather, and lavish golf courses may have something to do with it. Getting our kids back in full time school has more to do with it. Remembering the red rock of Sand Hollow Resort near Zion National Park definitely has its pull though.

Kids in School

Our school board met two days ago and after some incendiary remarks it is doubtful that our kids will make it back to any semblance of school, a full year after Covid-19 hit. If wanting to send your kids back to school is a crime then throw me in jail. Insurrection doesn’t seem like the wisest choice these days. Moving to St. George seems like a better option.

If this guy is from St. George tell me now and I’ll have to pick a new town to go to. Actually he’ll probably be in jail by the time we make it there. We’ll be safe.

Sand Hollow

We visited St George last summer. It was my first trip there in 20 years. My first stop was Sand Hollow. Winding through the red cliff of southern Utah, Sand Hollow consistently ranks as the top public golf course in Utah. With 27 holes and stunning views it is not hard to figure out why. (Picture #3 is my favorite). Is the dream of another round there enough to move my family 16 hours away?

Kids vs Costco

We are still unsure what to do with our kids. We haven’t given up on public schools, but it seems like the public school system has given up on us. “Follow the science” they say. The science says we should close down Costco and open up all the schools, but in the last 9 months that hasn’t happened.

St. George

After Kelsey didn’t say no I called my friend Kyle, who lives in St. George. I told her if he answers it’s a sign we should move there. 6 rings. No answer. Our brief window for moving vanished. St. George will have to wait. I pray my kids won’t have to wait much longer to go to school.
