In med school one day I took a break from studying and googled "Who are the top 100 physician golfers in the US?" Surprisingly an article had been published in Golf Digest in 2007 which listed the Top 100 Physician Golfers. At the time, in 2008, I would have ranked 98th on the list. I have been as high as 4th on the list with a USGA handicap of +1.2. Currently I would be 10th on the list with a handicap of 0.3. I highly doubt this list is completely accurate. Having said that I was the best golfer in my med school class, the best in residency, and am currently the best golfer at the hospital I work at. Am I really in the top 100? Seems unlikely, but going off the data available I'm going to stick with my ranking of a top 10 physician golfer for now.
